I fell, hard. Went for an MRI and it was sent to Nudelman. The feedback was a crushed vertebrae and that the treatment should be immediate. I called an expert in NY who said, the treatment is controversial and to speak to someone at a major NY Hospital which I did. Sent three letters...one to the lead Neuro-Surgeon at one, another to the lead Orthopedic Surgeon at another and the final to another Orthopedic Surgeon at the same as previous as it is a special Orthopedic Hospital. Both Hospitals are world renowned and all three Doctors are as well, the leaders in their field. I sent letters to all three, and they all responded within 24 hours due to the fact that the situation was so bad. These are men that choose their patients do to being the top of their field, they are so busy, and if not they give you to someone else who is probably very fine, in their practice but, I repeat, they all three wanted to see me immediately. All three saw that my spine had moved 3.75 inches and was in need of urgent care. All three agreed that the correction of the crushed vertebrae should not be done before 4 weeks. This is why the NY Doctor said it was controversial.... people use it too randomly. All in all, I ended up with two surgeries, one for the vertebrae and a 13 hour surgery for my spine. The fall not only moved my spine but caused (in layman's terms) a flat back. I could not move....... If I would have listened to this Doctor I would have been near crippled or crippled living in horrible pain.
