This man refused to diagnose me with Lyme in spite of all signs, symptoms and lab tests indicating it. My health failed and only prescribed antidepressants which made me sick. He scolded me and told me I should "be glad you don't have AIDS!" Apparently, me being severely ill and no longer able to function was annoying for him. He told me that if I wanted to be diagnosed with Lyme I could go see "the quack out on the East End!" I was perplexed by this because I wasn't even looking to be diagnosed with Lyme. I was totally ignorant and thought Dr. Samuels would surely diagnose me accurately. I asked him why a doctor would diagnose Lyme if they didn't have it? He clammed up at my innocent honest question.

Now I know that it was Dr Samuels who was the "quack." Unfortunately, I believed his diagnosis of chronic fatigue syndrome and suffered and became completely and totally debilitated at the age of 21. It wasn't until I was in a wheelchair on disability, losing the ability to swallow, involuntary movements, agonizing 24/7 pain, that through a series of events I finally saw a specialist and was diagnosed with late stage Lyme, Ehrlichiosis, Babesiosis and Bartonella. I was able to get very aggressive antibiotic treatment and I was finally improving. I couldn't believe it. My home nurse later told me that the first time she saw me she wasn't sure I was going to live.

Oh and btw, that "quack out East" was actually the doc who saved my life.

I also found out that Dr Samuels was known to be a drunk by those he works with (I have a nurse in my family with connections) and would work while drunk.
