Should not be in Pain Medicine. Has no sympathy whatsoever. He is not up to par on CDC or NC Opiod Regulatory Commission on Guidelines. HE is very partial to cute females, over prescribing to them if you let him feel you up a little while cutting and out right rude to all Males. He will try and talk you into expensive procedures to replace opiods, even if you are on a safe,CDC recommended dose. Pain Doctors get kickbacks from your insurance company when they cut you off opiods. Don't believe me, just ask around to any legit pain doctor

After a recommendation by a retired nurse, I made an appointment for my 75 year old mother months ago with David Mevorach at the Finger Lakes Pain Management Clinic. She developed blood clots in her legs after brain surgery - which has caused her legs and feet to swell so bad, she can no longer wear any type of normal shoe. She is no longer able to leave her house for pleasure and struggles for hours to get ready for doctor/dentist appointments.

We waited for Dr. Mevorach an hour and a half. My mom was in extreme discomfort due to the prolonged waiting period. When she was finally called for her exam, it took her a bit of time to get up, in which he replied "I am already running behind." As we were walking into the exam room, I commented that maybe the nurse could call patients when the office is running behind; Dr. Mevorach went ballistic. He stated that "this is a private office and I don't need to take your f-cking sh-tty attitude." He then said "if you don't like the wait you can leave - in fact, just leave." As I tried to explain my reasoning for nurses calling patients when there is a prolong wait, he became more irate and, in my opinion, irrational.

Knowing how much pain my mother has experienced and the fact that the Dr. seemed upset with only me, I stated I would go wait in the car and he should not be punishing my mother for a comment I said. He REFUSED to see my mother. My mother, who is now extremely upset by Dr. Mevorach's tirade, started to shake uncontrollably. Instead of ensuring she is okay, he turned away from her, walked to the waiting room and called in his next patient. After a few minutes, I was able to calm my mother down enough to leave the office. Dr. Mevorach's unprofessionalism was, for a lack of a better word, appalling.

I totally understand that there will always be waiting periods at doctors' offices. However, what I can not understand is why or how a doctor would turn their back on somebody that is obviously in extreme pain. My mom was hoping to gain some quality of her life back and Dr. Mevorach denied helping her attain that.
