Welcome to our practice! We have been providing exceptional care to Central New Jersey area children and adolescents for the last 25 years. Dr. Verma is a Board Certified Pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP) with more than 25 years of experience. She held the position as the Director of the Nursery at CENTRASTATE MEDICAL CENTER. During her tenure there, she spearheaded the effort to upgrade the nursery to a level two intermediate care nursery. She also specializes in newborn and neuro-development problems.
Dr. Verma is well known for her compassion and sensitivity towards her patients. Her dedication towards her patients is exemplary.
Dr. Verma has received her medical degree from Lucknow University, India and completed pediatric residency at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ). Dr. Verma also completed advanced Fellowship program in Neonatology at Mount Sinai Medical Center, New York, NY.
Dr. Verma is affiliated at CENTRASTATE MEDICAL CENTER, JERSEY SHORE MEDICAL CENTER, and MONMOUTH MEDICAL CENTER.
Dr. Verma is the only pediatrician who has privileges in the special care nursery at the CENTRASTATE MEDICAL CENTER.

Dr. Deborah Kessous graduated from Barnard College, Columbia University with a BA in English Literature. After graduating from St George’s University School of Medicine, Dr. Kessous went on to complete her residency in Pediatrics at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. She has enjoyed practicing Pediatrics in New Jersey since 2002. She lives in central New Jersey with her husband and four children.

Your primary care doctor is a key member of your health care team, coordinating all your care and serving as your personal health advocate. At Newborns To Adolescents pediatric center, Dr. Verma and other health care professionals are dedicated to providing you with quality care. Our staff has the training and expertise to treat everything from ear and sinus infections to chronic disease. We also have access to the latest diagnostic technology and treatment techniques to provide you and your family with a wide range of quality services for children from birth to college years, including preventive care, wellness exams, vaccinations, and screenings for blood pressure, cholesterol and colorectal cancer, school and sports physicals, chronic disease management, including high blood pressure and cholesterol, diabetes, coronary artery disease and asthma.
Following are some of the primary services that we provide:
Pre-natal/Parent Consult: A pre-parent consult with Dr. Verma can be very helpful for first-time parents. This visit gives expectant parents a chance to meet us and tour our facilities. Please call our offices to speak with a new patient coordinator to schedule time to meet with one of our physicians.
Inpatient care: For our newborns and hospitalized patients at Centra State Medical Center or Jersey Shore Medical Center.
Newborn/Infant care: We will be happy to see your newborn while in the hospital and schedule a follow up visits at our office.

Hearing and vision screening:
Well-baby and well-child checkups and immunizations: Regular wellness exams are a critical part of keeping your child healthy. We follow the schedule of well child visits as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics. During these wellness exams, your pediatrician sets aside a longer appointment time to give your child a complete physical exam. This is also the time to assess your child's growth, provide scheduled immunizations, address concerns with behavior, nutrition, and many other developmental concerns that are difficult to address during their acute sick visits. Sick child: Care for illnesses such as sore throat, high fever, colds and flu, step throat, whooping cough, ear infections, abdominal, bronchiolitis, conjunctivitis, tonsillitis, genittals and urinary tract infections.
Minor Procedures: Ear Piercing, Suture/Staple Removal, Ear Irrigation (Impaction of wax)
Physicals: School and sports physicals and forms.
Monitoring growth and development
