Dr Alfred Steinberger attended medical school at Columbia University, and completed his residency at The Neurological Institute of New York at Columbia University Medical Center.

He founded Metropolitan Neurosurgery Associates in 1982 and has performed complex brain and spinal surgeries on more than 10,000 patients. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Neurosurgery at Mount Sinai Medical School and operates in NJ and in NY at Mount Sinai.
