I got an appointment quickly. I've never had to wait too long. This provider has no helpful information available online, apart from their address and phone number. They just have a basic listings page. I didn't have to wait at all after I arrived for my appointment. They were running right on time, which is a really big deal for me. R
They definitely favor certain clients, and make an extra effort to help those clients. It was clear that Dr. Koppelman sat with me for two minutes and decided for some reason she didn't like me. I was polite and respectful, so it must have been based on my appearance. Dr. Koppelman was so impolite to me during my appointment. She consistently responded to me as if she had not heard anything I said and had made up her mind about me beforehand. She was unresponsive and genuinely irritated when I asked questions. When I asked her what she suggested I do next, this is what she replied: "Well what do you want me to do? Give you a little pill and make it all better?" I'm not kidding or exaggerating. (It had been over a year since I had seen a doctor about my inflammation symptoms, so the idea that she could assume I was some kind of hypochondriac is totally ridiculous. I sometimes avoid seeing a doctor for long stretches of time.) After making the crack about giving me little pills, she said offhandedly I maybe I am "depressed." She suggested I could take medication for this, although when i asked her if she thought I really had symptoms of depression she would not answer my questions. (Visiting Dr. Koppelman was very depressing, I must say, lol.) I teach at two schools and am a full-time grad student who is doing great in school. I don't know exactly what her definition of depressed is, since she would not give me any details whatsoever. By this time I was feeling really put out by having driven quite a distance to this appointment in order to be talked to in an extremely unprofessional manner. I said thank you and went to leave. Dr. Koppelman rushed after me and literally grabbed the test results I had brought with me out of my hand. She had to tug because I was holding on them and she startled me badly. She rushed over to the copy machine and copied these. I figured she was trying to cover herself in case another doctor did a better job of diagnosing me! Her staff failed to submit my bill to my insurance, although they are in network and I received a bill for $300 that I had to waste more time sorting out! What a waste of my time.
