I was initially satisfied with my visit with this doctor. He arranged my hand surgery right away. After that, he was hard to get into, so I saw the PA. I left feeling discouraged, especially when the PA told me "It's really bad, and you may never work again!" I went to my car and cried for an hour, unable to drive. Work WAS my life. Some of the staff were friendly and professional, like the back medical assistants, OTs, and technicians. My outcome wasn't the greatest, and have lost some use of my hand, and have no strength, especially at first. It hurt constantly for over a year, and still does daily. However, I had to go elsewhere to get help from another doctor with getting disability to help with my loss of income and inability to work, yet HE was my doctor. He just said to return to work and live with the pain and disuse. Another orthopedic said he may be able to do additional surgery to help me, so Im wondering if Dr K just go annoyed with me and wanted to be done with me and the outcome. On one hand, he said I had a really bad case, but then told me to live with it and pretend I'm ok. I felt no compassion or sympathy toward my life and livelihood being affected.
