I was caught up in the Hep C. Out break several years ago. He understood the effect on my body and provided the necessary care. Absolutely an amazing Dr.. Thank you Dr Mason for saving my life!
I recently moved to Henderson from out of state. I did some research on local Gastroenterologists and decided to see Dr. Mason.
This doctors office is quite possibly the unhappiest place on earth. When you walk in you immediately notice the bullet proof glass separating you from them. This pretty much sets the mood for your entire visit. I emailed a form authorizing them to obtain my medical records in preparation for my visit. It took a month to get an appointment so there was plenty of time. They didn't have my medical records and had to search for the form I had sent them. After a brief vitals check, I was put in a room to wait for the doctor. Dr. Mason eventually walked in, sat down and started tapping away on his laptop. I told him about my medical condition, he pressed on my abdomen in some kind of half assed examination and told me I was due for a colonoscopy. At this point he stood up and asked me to follow him. He led me down the hall like I was some kind of sheep, pointed to the left and told me to go that way. He promptly went the other way. I had questions, I required prescriptions but this guy doesn't care. Talking to me would have taken up too much of his time, and when you schedule patients 10 minutes apart you need to get rid of them quickly. There are doctors that became doctors because they want to help people, because they care, and then there's Dr. Mason. Maybe this guy cared once, but this office treats people like sheep. I've seen enough doctors in my life to know that you can measure a doctor by his staff. I've never seen a caring doctor that didn't have a caring staff. This office has all the compassion of a banks loan office.
