I have decided to leave James McCarter's practice.
Last year, I was diagnosed with TMJ. As part of my diagnosis my PCP wanted me to go to my dentist first. What should have been reported as a targeted visit was billed to my insurance as a regular visit. When it came time for my cleaning, that was billed as a 3rd visit. My last visited started with a full set of x-rays which is allowed every 5 years as long as you didn't get any panaromic x-rays in the same time period. He referred me to a specialist in implants who did panaromic x-rays and those x-rays were forwarded back to him. He gets absolutely no chance to overbill my insurance again. I'm going to Collins Dental which is a full-service dental clinic and can serve my needs very well.
