Despite knowing we are on a limited income and have significant medical expenses with a disability, the staff and Dentist used high pressure sales techniques to get us to agree to costly procedures rather than pulling a decayed molar, that was falling apart. When we refused we were told the dentist would not pull the tooth until there was infection or pain- this had gone away after the antibiotic treatment-when questioned about the ethics of this Avery Harrison called to tell us leaving the decayed tooth in was to increase quality of life. He laughed at worry about decayed teeth and heart disease connection. After being told the decayed tooth made eating difficult ,using only the other side to chew and ,fear of further breakage...he told us what a great dentist he was and consented to pull the tooth. It was like pulling teeth!
