Jackomis fraudulently withheld my 1st 3 treatments that he performed on me at his Potomac Falls Practice on 8-28-2002, 9-18-2002 and 10-2-2002, which was the beginning of his complete destruction of my oral health. (His prior website showed Jackomis Dental did not open his practice until 2003, but that was false. He held an open house for his new practice located in Potomac Falls in the Spring of 2002, at which time my husband attended along with several other potential new patients, and he subsequently treated several of us in 2002.) We also learned from several of his prior dental assistants that he used to tell them that he did not have a receptionist or an assistant for years; however, this too was false. (We recently discovered from his very first assistant that she left abruptly (less than a year), because she did not like the way he was treating his patients, since he was performing treatments w/out their permission & harming their oral health $$$.) Jackomis updated his website in June 2014 at which time he removed the year that his practice opened [2003], and he subsequently modified his website again a few months later to show his new picture of him wearing a white lab coat. Jackomis impulsively extracted several teeth without "informed consent" and x-rays, and he deliberately destroyed my 1 implant placed by another surgeon by placing a large dollop of cement without connecting it & then placed an open margin bridge over it that resulted in additional inflammation and swelling. (The treatments in 2002 that he fraudulently w/held included an impulse extraction of #29 tooth((w/out x-ray and informed consent)) and he also removed my crown on my #30 tooth w/out communicating and proceeded to puncture that tooth's nerve root ((unbeknownst to me that resulted in inflammation and infection and I recently learned this has resulted in residual heart problems). He also performed unnecessary root canals on other teeth that I was unaware of and he placed faulty crowns over decay, so I would have lost a lot more teeth had I not sought treatment with my Board-Certified Prosthodontist. Jackomis also egregiously underreported our dental fees by more than $20,000 $$$. Although Jackomis markets himself as a "Cosmetic" Dentist, he does not have the skills, and all of his crowns that he previously placed had to be re-done. You should also beware that he oversteps his professional boundaries by sending personal non-dental emails in an attempt to pretend he's your best-buddy, e.g., info pertaining to conservative politics and/or an occasional joke, and he does this almost immediately after meeting his new patients in order to "cloud their judgment."

Dr. Jackomis was completely dishonest, do not fall for the superficial charm, he is a dentist without a conscience. Most important, do not participate in his pity play. We all need to question our tendency to pity too easily. Respect should be reserved for the kind and the morally courageous. Pity is another socially valuable response, and it should be reserved for innocent people who are in genuine pain or who have fallen on misfortune. However, if you find yourself pitying someone who you know is unethically harming other patients, and who actively campaigns for your sympathy and loyal support (such as a "team player:) the chances are close to 100 percent that you are dealing with a sociopath. Most important, if by chance their ever caught, the loyal sympathetic "team player" we also be exposed.
