Dr. Troy Rodriguez is an excellent dentist, and I highly recommend him! He understood my concerns and anxieties, and was willing to work with me despite my not having any dental insurance, as well as due to the fact that as a teacher on a lower income I needed help with a payment plan. I also appreciate the fact that Dr. Rodriguez didn't give me a hard time about not having been able to see a dentist for years because of not having had the funds or dental insurance, when other dentists made me feel horrible and put me down the couple of times I was able to afford it. Additionally, other dentists would try to sell me a package of expensive dental work they claimed I needed, e.g. braces (no other dentist told me I needed it over 40+ years) - the previous dentist in the area that I went to for a cleaning claimed I had 14 cavities, needed 2 root canals and 2 crowns, and wanted me to sign a loan for $6,000! Dr. Rodriguez checked my teeth and said no, I only had 5 small cavities that could be taken care of over time, which only cost a couple of hundred dollars - obviously the other dentists were just trying to make money! Dr. Rodriguez is great at communicating and working together on a plan for dental care and payments; he also listened to my concern about feeling pain and my tendency to gag because I am extremely sensitive to anything in my mouth, and even though I decided to have the two worst cavities filled the first time, I was surprised at how effortless it was with very little pain (the only thing I felt was the slight sting of the initial shot for local anesthetic). He is responsive, efficient and friendly. I was given an appointment quickly, didn't have to wait long, and there is a positive atmosphere in the office which helps a lot. Dr. Rodriguez is absolutely amazing and I was so glad to have found him!
