Education
Dr. Richard House was born in Loma Linda California where he spent the earliest years of his life, but moved to the Killeen area in 1963 when his father (Dr. Franklin House, MD) was drafted into the army at Fort Hood. He was raised and schooled in the Killeen area. He spent many a day exploring Belton Lake and the Fort Hood Army reservation. He received his BS degree from Southwestern Adventist College in 1982 and his DDS degree from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in 1986. In 1989 he started his dental practice in Killeen Texas and has practiced here since.
Dr. House has a keen interest in continuing dental education and is frequently learning how to do new dental procedures and techniques. He is a member of various dental organizations including: Central Texas Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, American Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry.
Training
Dr. House enjoys helping those who are less fortunate than others by going on annual dental mission trips to such places as Mexico, Chuuk Islands, China, Dominican Republic, Belize, Equador and Chile. Outside of dentistry, Dr. House is active in the Killeen Seventh Day Adventist Church and the Killeen/Heights Rotary club. He enjoys a wide variety of activities including bird watching, camping, backpacking, mountain biking, motorcycling and spending time with his family. Dr. House and his wife Tina reside in Harker Heights and have three children, John, James and Lindsey.
