I was just referred to him by my dentist and it brought up an unpleasant memory from when I brought my daughter into him to have her wisdom teeth removed. Don't get me wrong, he is technically excellent but his attitude made me see red. My daughter's surgery went great, staff was wonderful and I believe it was on a Friday. When we got home, she took the antibiotics and pain reliever. One, or the other, was too strong and she reacted by throwing up which dislodged the clot at the extraction site causing dry socket which was extremely painful.
My main issue was this: any reputable doctor will have an answering service for after-hours problems and the directive for dry socket is to call your doctor immediately. He provided no such number except his normal office phone which went to voicemail because it was the weekend and no one was there. My child was in pain and I would never normally do this, but I called his home. There was a woman and child there and after she answered, she shushed the son and pretended no one was there so she didn't have to talk to me. My child was in pain and I had no way of helping her alleviate it. After a harrowing weekend, we finally got in to see him on Monday and I explained our dilemma after he treated my daughter which was painful for her. When I explained everything I just wrote and asked him why he had no emergency number to call, He arrogantly looked at me and stated that he did give me a number-meaning his office phone where he knew I would get no response. What a jerk. He was either too cheap to pay for an after hours service or he didn't want his golf game interrupted on his weekend off. Either, way, he put his personal life ahead of service to a patient.

Dr. McCord removed both of my children's wisdom teeth and it was a great overall experience!! the staff was so friendly and very prompt with my appointments! I would highly recommend Dr. McCord to everyone!
