I contacted them 9 months ago to see if they were accepting new patients. they said yes so I filled out the paperwork for financial assistance. It was like applying for a mortgage. I called the office and they said yes you are approved. I called to make an appt and they said sorry we do not have a dentist. This was 9 months ago . All you will get is false promises from them. WDH was a respectable icon in the community. Mass General Brigham a non profit org. Yah right Cash Cow yes indeed

The last review about a new female dentist is Dr Coleen..She is the most unprofessional, un-knowledgeable dentist I had ever gone to. I have never heard so many "I don't knows" and "I am not sure" from a health care provider in my life. It seems that she is having troubles as I called the hospital to submit my complaint and tried to do it anonymously for fear of retaliation, and my fears were founded as I was kicked out of the practice for voicing my concerns about her not knowing what to do. I waited over 6 months to get in there with the proper paperwork.
I first met with Dr Athron (I believe) and was told my work was no problem(I also met with 3 other dentists for evals and was told the same thing) When I got home, there was a message from comm. dental stating that Dr Coleen had to evaluate my treatment plan. That was when I went in and met with her and she was completely dumbfounded on what to do. Mind you it was only extractions to be fitted for dentures. I understood ahead of time that some needed to be surgically removed and that they could not perform the whole extractions but for a dentist not knowing how to do simple extractions is flat out pathetic. They refused to sit me with Dr Athron or work with me about going for 6 or 7 visits to do various extractions. Beware ahead of time if you are scheduled with her (Which she is now the ONLY full time dentist on staff)
Community Dental use to be a great place but has thoroughly declined over the years. Mi d you, the whole reason my mouth got as bad as it is was due to the dental assistance was cancelled from Wentworth due to myself getting married and I was not able to get all my cavities fixed prior to it getting cancelled.
Going to the dentist is scary enough, however Dr Coleen needs to go back to medical school to get her knowledge and courage back as when you are sitting in the chair hoping you get good news and a dentist is unable to answer simple questions and seems confused and non knowledgeable, it makes it all the worse.
I was extremely upset after I voiced my concerns and got a call from the practice manager cancelling my extractions due to myself voicing concerns. There is nothing else to say but it is borderline malpractice when my appts were cancelled because of concern. There is more to the story about my wife and myself pleading with them to do the work and apologizing if I offended anyone, but it is way.to long to write.
