Cecil Bassett is the worst doctor I have ever encountered. He is condescending and rude, told me several lies and misinformation, and was apathetic and uninterested in my well-being. Unity Hospital separated my newborn baby and me and told me I would be transferred in the morning. In the morning, I had to deal with Bassett who refused to transfer me and blamed my insurance without even checking. He was rude and raised his voice at me. This is no way to treat patients, especially new mothers who have undergone a c-section and are separated from their baby because of the hospital’s space issues. When my mother shook her head in disappointment at the situation Bassett raised his voice and yelled at her, “stop shaking your head!” He also yelled at me: “you don’t have a choice!” and abruptly left the room, even though I was in tears. I was finally transferred by a different doctor after 10 hours of turmoil. Dr. Bassett is a terrible doctor who doesn’t care about his patients.
