If you cannot afford expensive dental implants, then mini implants may be an option for you. Mini dental implants are small diameter (1.8 millimeter), bio-compatible titanium alloy implant screws that have been used for a number of years now. Their diameter is about one-third that of standard dental fixtures.

So what does this mean for you? Due to the much smaller diameter of mini implants, the surgery is much simpler and the healing time is faster. This also means they are much more affordable, about half the cost of standard dental implants.

Mini dental implants have been used to effectively stabilize denture plates in position. While they are not as sturdy as conventional full-sized dental implants, they have been shown to be reliable and long-lasting. They improve the ability of denture wearers to eat, smile, and speak with comfort and confidence.
