I went to Dr. Regehr in 2014 because I was suffering from persistent coughing and clearing of the throat. I had seen a couple of his colleagues before, and they said "Nothing we can do, live with it". Dr. Regehr at least sent me to get an MRI. But it came back showing nothing. He then said "nothing we can do, live with it". I guess all 3 of them were treating me for Post Nasal Drip. I went to an allergist as well. Not allergic to anything. I had used just about every OTC congestion medicine. My family doctor had prescribed all sorts of sprays. Nothing phased it.

In 2015, the coughing and clearing of the throat was getting really bad. I went to a whole different ENT at a different practice. He didn't even have to examine me. He asked my 2 questions, which the answers were YES. He said that I had Silent Reflux. He gave me some reflux medicine, which didn't phase it. He gave me a pH test, and I scored in the 4 range (extremely bad) and that was while I was on meds. He then sent me to see a Gastro doctor. After 3 more tests, it was proven to be Silent Reflux.

I am having surgery in 9 days to correct this (Nissen Wrap). I wouldn't recommend him to anyone. In today's World, "Nothing we can do" is unacceptable. Taking the easy road is unacceptable. If he or his colleagues had taken a little time to really consider my symptoms, this could have been resolved over a year ago.

Silent Reflux does have some of the same symptoms as Post Nasal Drip.
