I went to Mercer twice and will NEVER go again. The first time I went in because I suspected I had ovarian cysts. This was confirmed with an ultrasound. The second time I went in they gave me another ultrasound and confirmed I had ovarian cysts. Hadn't they done that the last visit? Yes, but they wanted to bill my insurance twice for it! The other situation that really made me mad is a women's topic-- you've been warned. I was not informed that pap smears could turn up abnormal during certain times of the month. My pap smear happened to be during that time. When my pap turned up abnormal, the nurse told me they needed to do a biopsy and she tried to scare me that I might have cancer to pressure me to let them do (and bill my insurance for) a biopsy. Wouldn't it make more sense to repeat the pap smear first before a piece of me is cut out?! I found out myself from reading online that pap smears are sometimes abnormal during certain times of the month. Did the nurse mention this to me? No! She's trying to collect as much insurance money as possible! I've had several pap smears since Mercer and they all came back normal! I'm glad I didn't have the biopsy (was cut on) for NO REASON! Finally, I was kept waiting in a hallway for so long at that office I almost got in trouble when I went back (hours later) to work. Mercer's office is WAY more concerned with filling their pockets than with your health. Shameful!
