I saw Dr. Ravry for the first and last time last Feb., 2017, for my annual wellness visit. I was totally happy by his professionalism. Then he scheduled me for a colonoscopy; it was downhill from there! I was informed both verbally and in writing that I had to have someone pick me up after the procedure. I was never told it had to be a friend or relative! I paid my cabdriver who I have used in the past $130.00 to take me from my home to St. Joseph's Hospital, and then pick me up. When we arrived at the hospital, my driver went in with me, presented his card, told the admitting attendant that he was my cabdriver, and asked them for their phone number there. I was told to give the card to the nurse on the third floor where the procedure was to be administered. Upon arriving on the third floor, and presenting the driver's business card, I was refused service. The nurse told me they were unable to preform the procedure because they could not release me to a licensed cabdriver. This was at 8 am, after I had done all of the necessary prep for this procedure! I saw Dr. Ravry Sr. during this period, and informed him what was happening! He mentioned that I would be able to get the procedure done; and then went to the desk to speak with the nurse, who was on the phone at this time, speaking with the admitting dept. The doctor then walked away, and I never saw him again! The nurse told me I had to leave without being taken care of. I then left and called the doctor's office from the lobby (three times), and explained to his office what was going on; and that I needed to speak with the doctor immediately! It never happened! I waited an hour until my driver got back from Acworth to pick me back up! I called the doctors office several times after that requesting he pay for my car fare, related medications, loss of work, pain and suffering, and stress related to this episode, as I am/under the care of a cardiologist due to a stint being inserted into the main artery in the lower part of my heart. I also wrote a letter that was never answered. No response whatsoever. I am 69 yrs old, and have never been treated so unprofessional by any physician in my entire life!

I felt like my needs were mostly met, but they didn't make any extra effort. The chairs in their waiting room at this doctor's office weren't the best but they served their purpose and I couldn't complain. Their staff was friendly enough, but they didn't go out of their way to help me.The staff announced my weight in front of other patients. The staff did not schedule the follow up visit. This was my first visit for evaluation and treatment of high blood pressure. I was prescribed several medicines but have not had a follow up visit. When I call to schedule an appointment the calls go to the answering service who will not relay messages unless it is a cancellation.
