I'm always amazed at how considerate and concerned they are for my well-being. Their advice is always wonderful and completely unbiased. I love how much attention to detail they show. They are always so careful and meticulous. I never have to worry about them making a mistake or forgetting something. I had to wait quite a while for my appointment. I was very disappointed. I'm usually somewhat sensitive to the cold, so I was a little worried that their office would be too cold, but it was fine. I was very comfortable the entire time. Not only are they recommended by other dentists, other dentists are always calling asking for advice. I know that I'm under the care of an expert.
During the last 5 years, I have availed dental service from different service providers across America.
My experience with Meriden Dental Center is the worst one because of the below reasons.
1. Extremely poor hygiene in the procedure room. I could see human hair and dust accumulation right on top of the procedure table, not to mention on the floor and corners. I wonder how they treat patients in such an environment .
2. Dentist is rough and in a hurry. No proper communication with the patient. Per dentist's recommendation, I decided to fill the tooth cavities, but I was not given an option to choose the filling material nor its color.
3.Money oriented approach. During the first visit, dental x-rays were taken, after that the dentist communicated that I need one more visit and all the fillings can be done during that visit. But during the second visit and that too while I was undergoing the procedure he mentioned I will have to come one more time. After a couple of minutes he gave a suggestion if I am willing, he can complete the remaining procedure that day itself. I agreed to that, a conversation happened in spanish between the dentist and the front office lady . Promptly I was informed about the additional expense that will have to pay out of my pocket. I had to agree because I had no other options then. It was awkward. I enjoy a decent dental plan by my employer and seems like Meriden Dental Center decided to milk my insurer to the maximum extent possible and the patient too.
3. Poor and outdated equipment. I can tell you this because I have better experience elsewhere. The light system was horrible
4. No orientation on what to do and what not to do after the entire procedure
I will never visit them again, even though they have forced me to set up another appointment 6 months down the line.
