My 4 year old had surgery last week. He was very anxious (not necessarily crying) and was asking a ton of questions. Dr. Schermerhorn patiently answered all his questions and concerns repeatedly. My little ones gown was itchy and he said well lets put your shirt back on little buddy. When he did want the electrode patches on, he said that was fine and told him to put them on his daddy. When he saw that he was still anxious, he decided to give him some medicine to relax him. Another thing that is equally impressive, if not more so, is he prayed for my little guy before surgery. That meant so much to us. I could not have asked for a better experience, even if I had gone to a children's hospital for the surgery.
