I last saw that man with a Napoleon complex 10 years ago. At that time, he told me I needed a cage and disc. Like with others, he never kept appointments on time, usually being 3-4 hours late. Make sure you bring money to have lunch or dinner in the meantime. But, being naive, I thought this meant he was very good since he was so busy. Before the surgery, I was taking one, maybe two pain pills a day.

The day of surgery, which was supposed to take 4 hours but lasted 7, should have been a warning sign. I woke up crying because my left leg was hurting, and I couldn’t move my foot. He told me it was normal and would disappear in a week. At the post-op visit, my pain didn’t subside but worsened. I was already seeing a pain management doctor, who tripled my medication. The surgeon showed me X-rays, claimed his job was perfect, and accused me of trying to avoid work. At that time, I was a 60-year-old man who had been working since I was 11 and had built up vacation time. My cousin, who accompanied me, stood up, ready to confront him, but decided he wasn’t worth it.

Now, 10 years later, I am still in pain, sometimes barely able to reach the bathroom. At one point, I was taking five doses of 3 different opioids daily. Life was a blur back then. Although I’ve reduced the dosage, they’ve taken away so much that I now spend three hours a day crying in bed.

If you ever have the chance to see Philip, do yourself a favor and run the other way. At this point, I believe he severed a nerve, which explains all the pain

Horrible surgeon. Doesn't know what he's doing. Practices experimental surgery because he was a mechanical engineer before "practicing" medicine. He destroyed my balance and said I had lost brain cells. I believe he's lost brain cells.
