Dr. Perman has a psychotherapy practice and prescribes medication when indicated. He usually meets with his patients a few times initially so that both can decide if there is a good treatment match. He has a psychodynamic treatment orientation and is also familiar with cognitive behavioral therapy.
In addition to his private practice, as a Clinical Professor in Psychiatry and the Behavioral Sciences Dr. Perman teaches G.W. medical students psychiatric interviewing and supervises G.W. psychiatric residents.
