I visited William L. McCarthy, Dentist to obtain a evaluation of a dental issue. Mr. McCarthy was less than cordial and lacking in interpersonal skills. Mr. McCarthy used a length of metal rod to strike my tooth in need evaluation, which caused me unnecessary pain and distress. I informed Mr. McCarthy that I would not require his services after all. Upon my exit, I was notified by his receptionist that I was billed $40 by Mr. McCarthy for his evaluation of my tooth. There was no notice of this charge during my intake interview, furthermore, his interaction did not result in any diagnosis or service to me.
