About

Scott Shannon, MD

I work at an integrative mental health practice that seeks to provide the most personalized and comprehensive care available. My 30 year background in holistic medicine as well as being board certified in child/adolescent and adult psychiatry gives me a unique perspective on health care. I am an acupuncturist as well and offer that to interested patients in my practice.

I practice part time at Children's Hospital in Denver where I am an assistant clinical professor of psychiatry. My practice has a special interest in the use of diet, nutrition, supplements, supportive counseling and other safe, effective complements to traditional care. I am not opposed to the use of standard psychiatric medications, but I find that I have many other safer and effective tools to offer people as well. This tends to reduce the need to prescribe medications overall.

Our Center is unique and I would encourage you to examine our website to find the benefits of collaborative care. I look forward to working with you.

All my best.....scott shannon md

They do such a great job of never overbooking appointments, even though they are extremely popular. I know for a fact that they have lots of business, but I've never had to wait a long time in a crowded waiting room like other places I've been too. One of the first things I noticed about this business was the level of detail and attention to make the building handicap-accessible. Even the bathrooms were designed to be accessible with doors wide enough to accommodate wheelchairs and grab bars in the stalls. You could tell they really made an effort to accommodate people with all different needs. Since I started visiting them, I'm better than I've been in years. They are very talented and have been able to help me recover more quickly than I would have been able to anywhere else.
