I needed to have colon surgery and my gastro Doctor referred me to a general surgeon who did not have great patient reviews. After doing our own research within the network, we can across Dr. Shofler. He had great YELP reviews from patients in his care and I have to say they were right. Dr. Shofler explained in detail what was going to happen, what to expect during and after the surgery and provided excellent followup care. Jamie, his medical assistant was very helpful in scheduling, answering questions and also helpful with my disability paperwork. Not once did she make me feel like I was annoying her - and I was! Carla the office manager and receptionist is friendly, personable and knows her stuff. I was fortunate to have a not so great situation turn out great. I have been been given the clear sign and won't have to visit anymore...which is bittersweet.
