I have been a patient of Dr. Barnes for fifteen years. since moving to the area. I am very satisfied with her "bedside manner" as well as her knowledge and her professionalism. Her office staff told me all I needed to know about the financial end of my office visits and the subsequent outpatient procedures I was to undergo. I did plan for payment ahead of time with them. I really appreciate their candor.
My overall experiences have been positive. I didn't have to wait at all after I arrived for my appointments They are usually on time, which I appreciate especially with an OB/GYN who can be called to deliver a baby at any time and there doesn't appear to be any double-booking which I've experienced in other doctor's offices. Double-booking is insulting to the patient and causes long waits for patients and surely a frustrated doctor who must feel the pressure of all those patients still waiting. Not a good system so I'm glad Dr Barnes doesn't do it.
I was pleased to see that my records were so easy for Dr. Barnes to access since they were all computerized and she used something resembling an iPad as she spoke with me and took notes directly onto it. This started before there even WERE iPads back in the early 2000s so technologically she was ahead.
My problems were not uncommon and could be taken care of in the hospital under general anesthesia as an outpatient. Dr. Barnes was great, she saw me in the hospital before I went into surgery and set my mind at ease about the procedures. She was there again when I woke up to tell me all had gone well. My subsequent visits were all pleasant and all I have to do now is regular checkups. The usual. I never have trouble getting a timely appointment. Her office is also very prompt in notifying me of test results and the outcome of any labs. Dr. Barnes returns phone calls quickly, something I also appreciate a great deal. I would recommend Dr. Barnes to any woman who wants professional and kind care for their own obstetrical and/or gynecological issues as well as for routine breast exams, mammograms etc.

They knocked before entering the exam room, and even waited for me to reply that I was ready before entering. They really respected my privacy. It is obvious that their office is cleaned regularly. It was fantastic. They were absolutely amazing and make others in the same field look like beginners. I got an appointment quickly. I've never had to wait too long.
