I was very unimpressed with his level of skill. It seemed like he had just started yesterday. I do not agree with the way he does business here, it is always his way or the highway. He is so uncooperative if a patient complains he is never willing to admit if he is wrong. I wasn't greeted at all when I entered their office. I could tell they noticed I walked in, but they still didn't acknowledge me. The doctor refused to shake hands with patients because he said (to me) that he was afraid of germs! He would keep a patient waiting for up to 45 minutes, but he established and carried out a policy whereby if a patient was 5 minutes late, he refused to see them. He repeatedly said unkind comments about older doctors, especially if they were retired, saying that "those old guys knew nothing." He repeatedly stressed that he was the best, while anyone going to him knew better. I can say without hesitation that Timmothy Merrigan was the WORST doctor I have experienced in 25+ years. Contrary to his motto of stressing the doctor-patient relationship, he had the worst relationship with patients that I have seen in all of my adult years. Except for the inconvenience, I was elated that he had left medical practice because it enabled me to find a wonderful physician who is human!
