I had seen psychiatrists before, I had even reached a point where the psychologist I was seeing told me I had only two more options for medication, both were medications I specifically didn't want to take. I was talking to Dr Gray, my psychologist about this and he said he would give Dr Katz a call to see if she would be able to see me. My first appointment with her she told me that we will never be out of options, we would find something that worked, with all of the combinations out there I should not feel discouraged. I won't lie, finding the right medication can be a long process, you have to try a lot before you find the correct ones, but if you keep an open honest relationship with Dr Katz I have a lot of faith she will help you find the right ones. I honestly didn't think I would ever be at the point I am now. I had forgotten what it feels like to not be weighed down by my illness, and when I got to a point where I wasn't anymore, it was obviously very exciting. I owe my life to my doctors and am incredibly grateful to them. Dr Katz is very kind and understanding, her current receptionist is as well.

I HIGHLY recommend her.

If you are ever told that your mental illness is a hopeless case, find a doctor like Dr Katz who is determined to find the right thing for you, who is about the combinations and not just the one miracle pill, and know that you shouldn't settle for your illness somewhat improving or being bearable, when I told Dr Katz that it was bearable and I was so much better than before that I was okay with not feeling 100% she said "Well lets try to add something else too, because I think we should do better than that." I still have situational things that can be triggers, and will always have my illness, but Dr Katz has helped me through those times as well. She is a doctor who will work for you, not just a paycheck, and she is worth every penny.
