Dr. Turner hired a PA to serve as an allergist for his practice. Jeff Lime does not specialize in Allergy treatment. He is a PA who worked for a Allergy clinic that now considers hiself a specialist. Only a physician (MD or DO) who did 3 years of residency in Internal Medicine or Pediatrics followed up by 2 more years of residency in a Allergy/Immunology can say they specialize in Allergy. There are many doctors posing as allergists and falsely stating they specialize in treating Allergy. Many family practice, pulmonology, dermatology and ENT physicians call themselves allergists because they want to earn more income doing skin tests and performing shots despite not being formally trained to evaluate and treat allergies. Would you put your health in their hands or see the most qualified person possible?
