Their staff was not friendly in the least; I really didn't feel welcome there. The chairs in their waiting room at this doctor's office weren't the best but they served their purpose and I couldn't complain. They barely gave me any information at all. I'm going to have to do my own research to get my questions answered. They didn't help me as much as I was hoping and didn't answer all my questions. I can tell it is maybe not a top priority to maintain a professional appearance here. They didn't look terrible, but there is definitely lots of room for improvement. They took a drug test by hair, and I NEVER used Cocaine but it came back positive and he acted as if I was a user. I wouldn't recommend this man to anyone. I wanted answer on how and why and he said he didn't have any. But I need to stop using. HELLO I NEVER DID but he just assume it did because it came back positive.
Dr. Strickler is a pain patient's worst nightmare. I had the misfortune to meet him because a concerned family member who doesn't believe there is ANY reason to take pain pills goaded me into going to his office. I have NEVER violated a narcotic contract WITH ANY doctor I have been to. I had spent the weekend in the ER with pneumonia and they had a lot of trouble getting an IV in so had a bruises on my hands. He immediately said "you're shooting drugs". I told him to call the hospital and he would see that they wound up having to take me to radiology to put in a PICC line (which was still in btw). He would here none of this & called the dr I had been seeing for years and told him that I was shooting drugs. I weas shocked by my pm dr's response. He never even talked to me in person or by phone. I was scurried to the "detox unit" where Strickler admits his patients. I was told I would have a seizure if I didn't go along b/c there would be no more meds for me. He said to me "if you don't really suffer you won't learn anything". Yes, he prophylaxed against seizures, but that was it. This was the worst physical hell and most demeaning experience of my life.
