I went to III for a laser treatment for my leg's varicose veins. I am 46 year old, exercise 5-6 times a week, have a healthy diet and, quite simply, take care of myself. I just had some little veins bothering me, nothing major or even bulging, in the lower part of my calf.
Within less than 5 minutes of starting the treatment, I was told by the personnel that more sessions were going to be needed. That it was not unusual for this to happen and since I was given a special price per session, the same one will be honored for the others. I was shocked! How do you know already, in less than 5 minutes, what will happen? I did not have a huge problem, I knew it and was told so at the evaluation visits. I was oriented that sometimes it took more than one session for the veins to disappear, and I was aware of the possibility. I would understand if in my follow up visit , after following all the instructions and doing everything i was told , i still had some veins remaining...but hearing this, within the first 5 minutes... I was outraged!
After that, I did not expect any good results. I still followed the instructions, used the special support stockings needed, did not exercised, etc, etc, etc. I still have my veins, and not even the small tiny ones were obliterated. Not one of them disappear. Needless to say, I will never return to III, or recommend it to anyone. The personnel was very professional, had good manners and treated me with respect, which is why I give .5 stars to the Institute. Besides that..... there's nothing good for me to say. Don't waste your money or time.
