I made an appointment to see Dr. Burke. That request was denied, and I was scheduled to be seen by his Physicians Assistant. After being seen in the office by the PA, I was "diagnosed" and sent to another facility (not affiliated with MD Brain and Spine) to have injections for my spine. I was instructed to follow up with the PA two weeks after the injections. The injections did not relieve the pain. When I called, I was directed to an answering service that would contact me within 24 hours about the next step of my treatment. Someone from MD Brain and Spine contacted me the same day (not a doctor or PA) and explained that a re-evaluation was not required if I was still in pain, and I should go back and have a second set of injections. And as before, should follow up 2 weeks after the injections.
When I called back because I was still experiencing pain, I was not allowed to speak with the Physicians assistant or Doctor to request pain medication or any type of instruction. Ultimately, I went to my local emergency room and received pain medication which ended up costing well over $200 for something that could have been easily taken care of over the phone by someone who I have already paid for diagnosis and treatment.
Bottom line, if you want to be treated by caring, respectful, professional healthcare providers DO NOT go to this medical facility.
