I had major surgery on my left hip on 01-February-2010, by Dr. 'Tony' Boody. He repaired what, in my opinion, was a totally "Botched" set of 2 surgeries by another doctor, that for politically correct reasons, I shall not name...at this time. My first surgery was in August of 1989; from which, I was NEVER without constant pain & discomfort. This surgery was a 'Bi-Polar Hip' surgery, which the attending doctor guaranteed me I would be pain free after the surgery. I was NOT! The prosthesis never worked nor did it ever heal properly. The stem of the prosthesis never set & constantly 'clicked' as it worked up & down as I walked. This same doctor was chosen by my insurance company to do a 'Total Hip Revision' in 9-11-2003, (great date). I was in agony from this surgery which took nearly a year & a half to heal, but like the first, NEVER gave me one day pain free. It was another, in my opinion, TOTALLY BOTCHED SURGERY!
Finally, on 01-February-2010, Dr. 'Tony' Boody operated on my leg. He said he could not believe the way everything had just completely dissolved inside my leg. The 18" cadaver bone the other surgeon had put in, was completely gone, the 'Trochanter Clamp had broken all of the cables holding it so it was floating inside my thigh. My hip muscles were unattached and pain was non-stop and horrible! It has only been 3 months since Dr. Boody operated on me and corrected all of the 'Botched' junk done by the prior surgeon, and I am already stronger and healing incredibly faster as well as infinitely more pain free than I have ever been since before my first surgery in 1989. Dr. Boody is an amazing young doctor, with unlimited skills aas well as a completely wonderful bedside manner and in his office or the hospital, he is more like a friend than a surgeon. He explains absolutely every detail of what he is going to do and why. The other surgeon never even told me he was using cadaver bone, nor did he discuss the procedure or it's risks. I never would have consented to the type of surgery the previous doctor did had I known what he intended to do. I highly recommend anyone needing orthopedic care to seek out Dr. Anthony Boody at Sierra Orthopedic Center in Placerville, California. You will never regret it! Why endure uncaring-egotistical-holier-than-thou attitudes from unskilled and uncaring surgeons that only care about how much money they can stuff their bank accounts full of, and could not care less about the patients who pay these astronomical fees? Dr. Anthony Boody is a rare and one-of-a-kind, caring doctor with "Mad Skills"!!
