They made sure every single question I had was answered, and are always available if I think of any more questions I want answered. Their staff is very friendly and professional. I was very satisfied with my visit. They were helpful and I left feeling encouraged. On the other hand, when my surgery was scheduled they did my pre-op on the phone and gave me my pre-op instrustructions then sent me to the billing department and was told I could not have my surgery until my 20%, that my insurance did not cover, was paid. What a let down.!
I am on medicare wiith full disabilty. This is my only income. I was told I had to make the 20% payment which was $214.00 before my surgery was done and that no other arrangements could be made. This was extemely stressful for me. I had to find a family member willing to lend me the money. If I wasn't in such pain I would have not had the procedure. I guess I could have tried to find another surgeon but that process is stressful as well. I liked Dr. McLaughlin and felt comfortable with him doing my surgery, The billing policy left me feeling less than and unimportant, I understand that people don't pay their bills but I feel this should be looked at on an individual basis, or at least handled differently, If i had been told this before I had gone through the pre-op portion and the scheduled date then I would have known to wait and schedule it when I could have saved the money, even though I have been in pain with this knee for months.

They always dress so professionally here, the entire staff obviously makes an effort to look their best and maintain a very professional appearance. I really admire them for being more than willing to ask for help from other professionals in the field when they don't have an answer to my question. They aren't even slightly arrogant, and I'm confident they always have my best interest at heart. I feel like they go out of their way to accommodate my schedule. I always get the appointment time I want.
