Good surgeon considering the city (Tyler, TX.) That being said, his bedside manner seems worn with age, and whether it was during the initial visit, pre surgery hospital visit, or post surgery visit, I felt everything was very rushed. It felt like he was just trying to get you in and out as quickly as possible. Many questions went unanswered due to the pressure you're under to think of everything you need to ask him before he's out the door, and in some cases, his answer was simply "I don't know, but just trust me that everything is fine because I've been doing this for decades." Ultimately this led to me feeling like I was going it alone through my surgery and through rehabilitation.

Final thoughts: he's a good surgeon. Not great, but far from terrible. However if you want to be treated / feel like you matter and aren't in it alone, considering finding someone else, even if that means having your surgery done in a better, less impoverished city such as Dallas.
