I went to the doctor had a contact exam and eyeglasses exam along with dilation of the eyes. The doctor was very nice but very soft spoken. I requested a prescription for my glasses and contacts, the doctor provided the prescriptions no problem. The eyeglasses prescription had the pupillary distance left off and the contact lens prescription did not have my brand on the prescription or other numbers. I attempted to order lenses online and they had to verify the prescription through the doctor. I received an email saying I needed a followup for the fitting. I have been wearing contacts for ten years and I don't think my eyes have shrunk or expanded. My wife took my box of old lenses to the office and along with her prescription and the optical department, independent of the doctor, although in the same office was snotty to my wife, and they would not provide the information to her. Seems like HIPPA should apply and since it is our information we would have a right to any info they have from our exams and it should be on our prescriptions. They wanted me to make another appointment for a fitting, additional $30.00 out of my pocket and to them to them for the fitting. The doctor was contacted and was just as snotty to my wife. I will go back to my previous doctor, only reason I went to her was I was able to get in sooner, my mistake. I will let you make up your own mind though.
