I hate to be negative because Dr. Jackson is well-versed, smart, and takes an approach to treatment that balances medical treatment with alternative supplemental care, but HOLY MOLY am I tired of going to his office and waiting 2+ hours to see him.

1. He never takes notes. Ever. So between visits he forgets your situation, symptoms, and possible diagnosis, and you have to start from scratch each time. If I didn't keep a binder of conversation notes, EVERY test result, EVERY medicine I'm on, EVERY symptom within a detailed symptom log, we'd never get anywhere. I ended up diagnosing myself and when I suggested the Dx he said "well you don't have those symptoms", to which I replied by asking him to pull up the diagnostic criteria and go back through them with me - they all fit. He'd forgotten every one of my symptoms, and hadn't bothered to review my chart or test results. He didn't even know my test results were there.
2. No matter where you visit him your waiting room wait time is at least 45 minutes - usually longer - and the wait time for him after you've been through intake in an exam room is at least another hour. I watch a lot of patients for other travelling doctors be shown to their rooms to be seen while I'm sitting there waiting for him, so it's pretty obvious that it's just him. The nurses at check-in confirmed that it's just him, and they apologized profusely when my waiting room wait time with my 4 year old son exceeded an hour and 20 minutes.
3. I felt like I just shouldn't ask questions because he'd forget what answer he gave me and what treatment he recommended, so I just researched on my own and consulted with other specialists to compile information.

One thing he does well is making himself accessible for conversation and questions in between appointments via phone.
