Dr Melnyk is one of the worst physicians I have ever encountered. My father was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer and Dr. Melnyk refused to give him a prognosis. He did promise that with chemo he could extend his life. We proceeded with chemotherapy and nine days later he died. If we had know that he had such limited time, we never would have taken chemo and possibly had him live a bit longer. And during our second visit when I questioned why he would not give us any indication of how long my father had to live, he got very abusive and said "I did not give your father cancer. It is not my fault". WHAT KIND OF DOCTOR SAYS SOMETHING LIKE THAT TO A FAMILY?
