My review is not about the doctor but about his insurance department or staff. I had an annual exam, no problem with Dr, Fahy, like him as my doctor. The problem is that the insurance carrier denied the $40 lab charge because it was out of network, not on the select labs list that this insurance carrier requires. The insurance company say tough luck, your doctor office should have checked to see which labs are in net work. Called the doctor office, tough luck, we only use one lab which we have no control of. You ( the patient) should asked what lab we use. Of course this is a question you would ask, right? If a provider office call and verify benefits, that is one of the questions they should ask and then let the patient know they will be using a out of net work lab and we will be billed. Do we want to keep the appointment? As always the patient is always the loser in these situations.
