Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare: From a young age, I have always had a strong desire to serve others. As early as elementary school, I developed a passion for math and science. It quickly became evident that medicine was the best-suited career choice for me. Practicing medicine has always been a calling, as well as a privilege. Both of my parents were educators, while I did not follow in their footsteps and pursue a profession in education; I recognize the responsibility that doctors have in educating patients. I am committed to ensuring that patients have a clear understanding of their health care options so that they can confidently participate in shared decision making.
