I visited Dr. Patel one time several years ago, and he was very personable; however, this past year, another patient scheduled an appointment with Dr. Patel on my behalf. Their intentions were good, but I did not ask them to schedule an appointment for me. Well the good intentioned individual forgot to tell me that they scheduled an appointment for me. So I was not aware of this appointment. Since I had not visited Dr. Patel in quite a while - all of my contact information had changed. So of course, no one called/emailed me to inform me that I had an appointment. I found out that I had an appointment because I received a $50 bill for a missed appointment fee! I sent his office an email explaining the situation - and this only resulted in them emailing the bill to me almost every month! I finally broke down and paid them - however I feel this practice was unprofessional and unethical. I did not schedule the appointment. No one contacted me to tell me I had an appointment. They should not allow other patients to schedule appointments on behalf of others unless the patient is a minor or has a legal guardian - and I do not fall under either category! I will never schedule another visit with Dr. Patel's office and will tell others of this unethical practice.

I love how much attention to detail they show. They are always so careful and meticulous. I never have to worry about them making a mistake or forgetting something. You could tell they really made an effort to accommodate people with all different needs. Not only were they able to provide everything they promised me, they went above and beyond and exceeded my expectations. They've stayed open past their closing times many times when I've needed help. They've never turned me away when I've needed them. I didn't experience any unnecessary pain during my visit, and I was amazed at how much better I felt after I left.
