I have trouble getting through to people at the office & it takes days to receive a return call. I switched to this office because of the new health care laws & my old Dr, who I had been with for 8 yrs, does not take my "new" insurance. I have been on certain medication for many years due to migraine headaches & this office makes me come in for a new appointment every month to get the medication refilled (FL Law only requires once every 3 months). They also make me give a urine sample to test for drugs or to make sure I am taking the prescribed meds & not selling them. This is all new to me & if they would look at my med records, they would see that I have been pretty consistent in getting these meds. I am not a kid but a 52 yr old who has suffered from migraines for 37 yrs. I don't like being treated like I am a criminal. As soon as I can I am switching plans so I can go back to my old Dr where I know they care about me as a person. I think SPFMC is just too big. They are more of a clinic atmosphere than a private practice office.

I didn't have to wait very long at all after I arrived for my appointment.This practice has a great staff and I'll definitely be going back. They're really great about taking their time with me and they don't mind answering my questions. I've never felt like an annoyance to them no matter how many questions I have. It was easy to get the appointment time that worked for my schedule.
