Welcome to Allergy and Asthma Medical Group of the Bay Area, with offices throughout the San Francisco East Bay - Berkeley, Brentwood, Pleasanton, San Ramon and Walnut Creek. . Were ready to help from the mildest to the most complex allergy and asthma symptoms, including pollen allergy, food allergies, venom allergies, asthma, eczema, hives and sinusitis. We treat all ages - infants, children and adults, with compassion, courtesy, and a wealth of experience. Every patient receives personal attention, a detailed evaluation, and customized treatment plan which may include allergen immuotherapy (allergy shots), asthma action plans, ongoing support, and access to critical information.

Education Dr. Karpel completed her residency at Montefiore Hospital Medical Center and her Allergy/Immunology fellowship at University of California San Francisco. She has been a physician with Allergy and Asthma Medical Group since 1982. She currently serves as Treasurer of the Allergy Foundation of Northern California. Dr. Karpel is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology; Allergy Association of Northern California; and California Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology. Dr. Karpel has a special interest in the area of food allergies.
