Trained in a psychoanalytic paradigm, I believe that past experiences profoundly influence how we manage our fears and anxieties and thus impact the quality of our relationships with others and the world around us, i.e., they affect the ways in which we are able to shape our lives in the present. While this belief fundamentally guides my thinking and informs my treatment approach, I am versed in a variety of techniques rooted in other traditions and am comfortable treating a wide range of clinical issues. I also have extensive experience conducting neuropsychological, psycho-educational, and personality assessments.
