She seems somewhat stuck in the past as per the mechanical review. She decided more or less that I did not have trouble with my parents as SHE was a good parent. ????

In her heyday, I'm sure, she did not have to do administrative things. She seem to have trouble with booking her appts and taking payment. She once called me on the day of an appt about 2 hours before I was supposed to be there. She said my name firmly in a school marm type of way and I (being a child of emotionally abusive parents) understood that something was wrong. You could almost hear her tapping her watch over the phone. I said, Am I not scheduled for 3pm? She gushed and apologized. I decided right there and then that I did not need a therapist who disapproved of my behavior with the silent treatment.

I went for about a month. She did have some relaxation techniques with some value. I'm sure she was good in some situations. I'm not trying to beat the woman down, but adults who have been emotionally abused by parents are very vulnerable and do not need such judgment.
