The Shanti Niketan Ashram is a beautiful community center dedicated to disseminating the ancient wisdom and spiritual science of Self-realization. Founded in 2001, we offer a diverse schedule of weekly yoga classes, yoga workshops, kirtan, meditation, satsang and the highest quality yoga teacher training programs anywhere in the world.Yoga is beneficial for people of all ages, backgrounds, shapes and sizes. All of our classes are based on the practice and continuous teachings of classical Yoga. Our unique posture series promotes harmony within all layers of the body so an integrated state of radiant health is achieved. With regular practice, health & stamina are attained & Self-realization can easily follow. We do not teach "styles" of Yoga, but the traditional, classical system of Yoga practiced by Yogis for centuries.
All classes are classical in nature with a meditative and flowing manner. We are also a traditional ashram dedicated to the training of women who wish to live a monastic life in service of humanity.
