MAC Therapy focuses on the root causes of a person's health conditions, rather than just treating a specific symptom. That means exploring the physical and mental aspects of a person's life to uncover any factors that might be contributing to the person's present health symptoms & conditions. Every session is a combination of examination and treatment. The therapist uses his or her hands to evaluate the texture, tightness and movement of muscles, fascia, tendons, ligaments and nerves. Abnormal tissues are treated by combining precisely directed tension with very specific patient movement. After an injury, scar tissue binds up and ties down tissues that need to move freely. As scar tissue builds up, muscles become shorter and weaker, tension on tendons causes tendonitis, and nerves can become trapped. This can cause reduced range of motion, loss of strength, and pain. If a nerve is trapped you may also feel tingling, numbness, and weakness.
MAC Therapy works using specialized programs, as well as multi-practitioners to help restore your health using your body's natural healing processes. Some of these programs include, Neuromuscular Therapy, Active Release Technique, Active Isolated Stretching and conditioning, ETPS (Neuroanatomical Pain Therapy, Designed Clinical Nutrition, Cranio Sacral Therapy, Nutrition Response Testing, Designed Nutritional Supplementation, Creed Neural Kinetic Integration Technique using the Vibra-cussor, as well as Massage, Acupuncture, and Chiropractic Treatments.
