The Harlin Center for Precision Medicine offers patients clinical genomics-based care and preventive interventions— the highest standard of personalized medical care — in the areas of Alzheimer’s disease, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, macular degeneration, and many common cancers.
All programs are built upon a genomic analysis for disease-related risk, an analysis of the microbiome for gut health, and a comprehensive clinical evaluation.
The Center's proprietary bioinformatics software cross-references over 6,000 large scale genome-wide association studies (GWAS) and detects biologically relevant associations in approximately 900 susceptibility genes.
Dr. Harlin is a certified instructor of the Benson-Henry Mind-Life Institute’s Stress Management and Resiliency Training (SMART) course. Patients are encouraged to participate in an 8-session SMART program as well as monthly educational support group get togethers.
